if it turns out that its not too much fuel pressure, then there is a modification to the nikki carb that used to be done to the nikki back in the day, which was to make an extension of the fuel bowls. if any of the more experienced members would like to chime in on exactly how its done, please do. i cant remember how it was done. It was on the racing mod book for the 12a.

i made a mistake, it was not to the nikki, it was to the weber, but i am sure a similar set up could be done with the nikki.

Minor updates:

Pulled open the old carb to find one of the floats to have a rusty looking powder on it. The other was fine. Odd, grabbed a spare carb from the local classifieds. Tossed it on and spent two days trying to figure out why it was leaking, eventually I discovered this:




So, with the old one apart I decided to try and track down those carb floats. I work at a major parts retailer here in British Columbia, and I can't get any RX3 floats at all. I've been hunting online a whole bunch to find the part number listed, only place that seems to carry them is Autozone, but being a Canadian I get this:



So, for the next race day my wagon will again be sitting like this:
