12a horsepower with header and intake?

How much power would you expect a stockport 12a to have with intake, header, and straightpipe/open header? All accessories removed. Any guesses? I'll need about 140hp to break into the 13s stockport, though it might be possible with 135hp.

And yes, a 1700lb car with 180lb driver can do that with that much HP.

Well, I havent weighed it yet, but judging from what others have done and weighed theirs, and from the SLK230 I just beat pretty bad with ~75 extra pounds on my car(they do 15.2 stock)... 1700lbs should be cake. If it isnt there yet, it will be when I replace the side windows and rear hatch with plexiglass. I might get crazy and replace the windshield with plexiglass, but only if I need to to reach 13s.

Basically, if its not required for the car to drive, I removed it. No extra crap under the hood, no hood on drag runs, no dashboard, no useless crap in the interior, no passenger seat, no spare tire or jack, virtually all sound deadening gone, no windshield wipers(wiper in my passenger seat for legality). You name it, its gone

Hmmm, how can you get 150hp? Would a good carb and intake manifold pull that off? Whats the max power you can get out of an NA stock port 12a?

What else is there after the header, exhaust, intake manifold, carb, and intake? I just read another thread which says 150 is the limit with stock ports, on a very good day 160 might be possible, and that it may not be nessesary to upgrade the carb until you go with porting. So if header, exhaust, and intake gets me to 135, is a good intake manifold the difference between that and 150hp?

Hmmm, with 150hp I'd need to get it down to 1400lbs to get into the 12s... that would be VERY hard to do. Perhaps not impossible, but it would require LOTs of sawzalling... probobly sacrificing significant structural rigidity. Perhaps 13s will suffice for stock ports, lol

I'm using cartest, which so far has been fairly accurate, though conservative with my RX-7, proven with 1/4 mile slips.

I've seen an r100 at the track with a 13B stockport running high 13's and that car is about 1800 lbs but he also had some drag tires on it.

How much power can a stock port 12a make if you leave all the accessories on it? I guess that would be all intake and exhaust? I like my a/c when stuck behind old farm trucks on backroads.
