12a Holley Sniper Help

Hi, I recently got my 12a swapped Miata running. I have a single msd 6al for the ignition, how Scott M. Baker sets it up. I also have a 4 barrel Holley Sniper on it.

The problem is I can’t figure out how to get it running/keep it running. It will only start with my foot completely to the floor, 100% tps on the Holley. It stays running and idling at 1000rpm until about 180 degrees then dies. After that it’s hard start again even with the gas pressed and when it does start it jumps up to 2000 rpm’s then dies after a few seconds.

If I crack the throttle blades open with the idle screw then it’ll start, still with my foot to the floor and idle at 3k but will die if I turn it in trying to lower the idle. Once the car cools completely back down then I can’t start it again but it still dies and won’t start again.

If anyone has any advice that’d be very appreciated.

Update: after a few days double checking everything, I decided to pour a little oil down the intake and it fired right up, still with my foot to the floor. It ran great for about 20 minutes, got it up to temp, revved it, moved the car under its own power for the first. I cant get the idle to go below 1300 rmps though, before it was idling at 1000 so im not sure what changed. But it still won't start on its own, even hot. I have to give it a little bit of oil and my foot to the floor to start it.

any advice would be appreciated
