Question 12a Engine, is it ported?

i bough a 12a motor, the owner said that it was loud but couldnt find holes in the exhuast i never asked him if it was ported. the motor has not carb so i cant just start it up right now to listen or feel its power. Is there anyway to tell if a engine is ported without opening it up, or running it? thanks

remove the exhaust manifold(only 4 bolts), see if the the ports are opened up. Stock has a restriction right inside, streetport is opened up.
