12a dipstick length

Anyone know the measurement from the bottom of the dipstick to the bottom of the rubber grommet that holds it in place??? My dipstick's grommet is loose and does not give accurate measurement of the oil.

from the bottom of the grommet to the end of the stick - 9.5 inches. from the base of the grommet that touches the block to the end of the stick - 10 and 11/16ths.

This is from the very absolute bottom of the dipstick that dips into the oil all the way to up to the very absolute bottom of the plastic grommet. That is 9.5 inches, correct?

You might want to start a new thread, this one is 15 years old and many of the folks on it may not be here anymore.
