12a differences

What are the differences in the 12a from year to year? Aside from the rotor, counterweight and flywheel weights.
I'm wondering why the rebuild kits sell for different years.

the differences in the gasket sets is the smog junk gaskets and exhaust gaskets

the internal differences is the late 83,84,85 motors have lighter rotors ... the lighter rotors have a N in the dish of the rotor
