12a cartech turbo for sale

finally, my wife showed me how to post my pics. here they are. i'm selling my complete turbo set up for a 12a. it comes with the turbo, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, holley carb, custom down pipe we made in the shop, oil pan, oil line and all the hardware that you need to do an instal. the only thing you have to keep in mind is if you live in a cold climate you will have to put a cold start injector right before the intake port. it is very hard to start the engine in cold weather. in warm weather you will not have a problem. i never drove the car with the turbo, only used it to start the new engine. this system is putting out 5-6 psi. i am not looking to get my money back. at the time that the system was first bought it went for around $2000. if anyone wants it please make an offer. i am located in long island, new york. i am also posting my friend's delorrto carb with the upper intake(i will have pics soon) he wants $300. The yellow car belongs to smokin' joe, he is finishing my car at his shop, smokin' joe racing(j&r) nice guy to work with. you can also email me at guy454@yahoo.com if you have any questions. thanks for looking

This is kind of off-topic, so I apologize. Theres some crazy guy around here that has one of these on his 79 Rex. As far as I know he has never had it on the street. Im kind of curious to how the draw-through setup performs versus blow-through. I would expect roughly the same as long as supporting modifications were the same, but just wondered. Sorry to be off topic, good luck with you sale. Turbo 12A stuff seems to be all the rage this season, haha.

12A draw through

it's not a bad system, pretty simple, no electronics or anything fancy as long as you don't go with alot of boost, and no air to air intercooler. antifreeze flows into the bottom of the intake. this system is good for 220-250 HP with a street ported engine. the only drawback is that in cold weather it is not easy to start the engine. for now i'm going with headers and a full racing beat exhaust until i see how this new engine porforms. not a bad old school system for the times.
