12a bs 4.6 mustang

Well I've raced 2 4.6 mustangs with my 12a and basically was about even. This is just off a red light not 1/4 mile or anything. Pretty much 0-60 and it's over. Does this sound about right? Any one else ran against these?

I actually stopped and talked to the one guy last night. He didn't even know what a rotary engine was. He couldn't believe my 1.1 kept up with his sbf lol.

what era 4.6? Automatic or manual? I dabble in modulars AND rotaries, and a 4.6 pi in decent health should spank a 12a assuming both drivers are the same skill level.

Some cars had the early non-pi 4.6 which was a dog in comparison.

I'm not sure on year? Prolly around a 96? Was bone stock w/5 speed.

My car isn't completely stock.
All rat nest an emissions gone
Stripped and rebuilt nikki with mech secondaries.
Msd direct fire ignition with accel super coils and msd blaster for trailing.
Got rid of that stupid valve in the intake.
No cats
It actually rips pretty decent.
I need some 14-15" wheels so I can get some rubber on the rear lol.

Those were pre "PI" 4.6, so between a 12a and it would be pretty close. They were "economical" v8's which is why the idea of them didnt really take off. I did get close to 28 mpg's highway out of one of those driving from PA to chicago once tho.

Id rather have the 12a over the early 4.6, but if I had to choose a between a late 4.6 2v and a 12a I'd pick the ford. Sadly they just dont fit in FB's lol
