so my car shut off when i was warming it up last night and i spaced out to turn the key off so my battery died. today i jumped started it with the choke and everything and it started smoked really bad and smelling like gas in the cab and in the exhaust. its was running fine so i went in the house to warm up and watch it from the door and it slowly died again. i was like wtf. so i went to start it again. again needed a jump. so i jumped it and it would get backfire and smoke and smoke and smoke gas smeel exhaust smell. white smoke. its had no power at all to rev up to get the alt going to charge the battery then it made some weird sound and the revs just dropped. now it wont do anything. please help me this is the only car i have. i was actually going to have the fuel filter replaced but then this happened. i know it needs one from help on another thread of mine

 

You flooded it more than likely. I used to live in a cold climate and these cars can
be pretty unforgiving on cold starts and flooding. I assume its cold as sh$t up there
in ND. Deflood it, theres a procedure in the FAQ. Jump it and sit with it while it
warms up. If the auto choke pull off doesn't work then it will flood out again once
it gets warm unless you babysit.
