12A AirPumps?

Can they be completely removed without messing up the way the engine runs.....im trying to stripdown and run the engine without emissions.
the pump seems like extra drag and weight.

Without the air pump, the cat will soon plug up. If you have no emission regs, remove all 3 cats and go with headers.

i dont have an exhaust period......so cats arent a problem......ive heard of removing the pump and rats nest assembly, but i cant find the thread that tells you how to remove it

im looking to remove EVERYTHING that can be as to clean up the engine bay, but also allow the motor to run. any links to threads are greatly appreciated.

Ive been using the hell out of the search feature to no aval.

So they told me my 84 gs was Texas "emissions exempt". Does that mean I can remove emissions system and still be street legal? Just does not have to be a smoker right?
