the 12a

i am going to buy an85 7 next week, and would like to have an extra motor around. god knows these things are un-predictable. where can i find them. all i can find is the 13b stuff. or is it possible that everything will bolt right up with the 13b? if so i already have a turbo motor waiting. i just need to know where i can find a replacement and what will work. thanks

unpredictable?
only in the sense that I couldn't have predicted how quick it is for a 1.2 litre.
Search it out. There are hundreds of posts about people swapping 13b in their fb. You'll need new exhaust, tranny, and a mounting bracket from racing beat.
Other than that, you're golden.

depending on the year of the motor, you may not need another transmission 6-port transmissions (86 up) will fit on the "FB" . it mounts to the engine exactly and dido for the tranny mounts. IF you want to put a 13b in a 12a chassis, you need to get an 85 gsl-se oil pan and you can keep the stock 12a engine support bracket. YOU dont need to be buying brand name stuff to make ur mazda fast. you need KNOLEDGE because what good is a brand name if you dont know what to do with it. People in PUERTO RICO have acces to all the performance parts that we have here in the states. but many choose to make their own setups and they use parts from other cars. (KIA, FORD, DATSUN, DODGE) and they dont spend thousands to just make 174"rwhp" its not about brand names its about knoledge
