12a to 13bfi wirering help

ok i just got a 1987 13bfi. i got all the under dash wirering, engine wirering, and ecu. i know i dont need all of the wirering from the under dash harness so how do i sort them out. and wich ones do i need.

the motor whas in a wreaked car, i got the motor, tranny, all wirering for $250. how can i tell if i need to rebuild the motor.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks

oh boy, please hit the search first (top right of the screen). there is ALOT of info that has been discussed about this exact swap. if you still need help then post again. the quickest clue to knowing if your motor is good or not is to do a compression check. with the motor out you could hook the tranny up and the starter and get it going that way. it works. if it's under sayyyy, 85 or so, then you might want to worry.

i have tried searching but have found nothing on what wires to keep on the under dash harness. there is nothing on the wiring in the search
