12a-->13b swap - NO SPARK

I finally finished putting a 13b NA in my '83 GSL, everything is hooked up and powered, but when i turn it over i get NO SPARK.. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there any real way to test the ECU?

Whatever the problem is, the coils arent sparking at all...

run a wire from batterys + to coils + terminals. that will provide juice to the coils. temporary solution only til you figure out the rest.

yeah, they worked on the car they came off of....

i think i've narrowed the problem down to the ECU... can anyone explain to me the 'Check Connectors' in the shop manual wiring diagrams? I really need to know how the one on page 50-28 works... the one with 3 wires (Y, Y/R, and Y/B) from the ECU going into it, and 1 wire (B/W) going out..

So, is this a second gen engine? Are you using the 2nd gen coils? The check connector should be in the engine bay is you are using and 86-88 harness. You can rig up a set of test lights if you want to check the error codes. If you need some help, I could maybe stop by sometime a lend you a hand. Just PM me.
