Question 12a to a 13b swap

I am just wandering what all that I would need to swap out the 12a in my 82 and drop in a 13b out of the 86 that I am getting this weekend. Is there anytype of extra parts that I would have to get to do that???

You have to swap the front cover from your 12a on, get a gsl-se oil pan, slot the motor mounts (or buy motor mount adapters).

Are you going to run carb or FI? Carb is an easier swap, but with fi you will need a high pressure fuel pump, ecu, wiring harness, etc....

It isn't a huge job, but not a simple task by any means.

There is a search button at the top right of this website, you will find a lot more info if you search. I also recommend you read the FAQ sticky as well as take a browse through the archives. Welcome to the forum!

FCs use an in tank fuel pump, FBs use an in line fuel pump. The wiring harness and ECU will swap right over from the 86. I am unsure if the exhaust will bolt up, somebody else will know that.
