Not normal, for either one of you. Trailing ignitor makes a small difference in mpg, not 50% though.

Tell us more about the car, how it runs, history, etc.

Whoa. I joke about getting 10 mpg a lot, but never have I even came close to actually getting 10 mpg.

Definitely fill us in on how its running and stuff.

well im not to sure of its history but it would appear the motor was rebuilt sometime in 2003 judging by the stamp on the side of the housing. its got kind of a lumpy idle but is smooth when your driving it has newer ngk plugs and wires i was going to pop the cap off and see if they need to be replaced probly needs a new fuel filter too.

I posted in your other thread, but, when the engine is running, pulling the trailing plug wire will make little to no difference in idle. Pull a leading one make a major difference, often killing the engine.

my poor opinion
cap
rotor
fuel filter
rape the carb with carb cleaner and hit it with a hammer
could be something clogged in the idle circuit

have any glowing cats yet???

I calculate everytime I fill up, and I average between 15.1mpg and 15.8mpg.

S5 N/A streetported with RB header/presilencer and a Mikuni 44. Needs to be tuned, I know...
