So as some you guys might of heard, i just finished getting my engine rebuilt with a sp after blowing the seals on the rear rotor. Anyhow the car is about 160 miles away from me and inbetween work and stuff, I just don't have time to pick it up. So i called a company up to take it. So they go to pick it up, the guy there explains to them how to start it and what not (you know since its a rotary) so they start it up and take it. Well now the guys at the other end receiving it(its coming by train)didn't take that lecture so they just called me up saying that they couldn't start the car. What would you guy tell them to do, it is pretty cold here right now, and i'm afraid that they'll flood it (unless they have already done so) Any idea would be great. Thanks

 

I would have them try and cut off the fuel. using something to squeeze the
fuel line and crank it until the fuel burns off the plugs and take the pliers
or vise grips off just when its about to start ----- just a guess

 

is it manual? - aim downhill and pop start it.

 

take the spark plugs out and blow them off. probally fouled.

dont hit pedal at all if 12a.... oil lines that feed into the carb.... yes professionals it will foul it out.........

and prey with a battery booster.

 

Tell 'em to push it.

 

If not flooded, just hold the choke and let it crank until it starts, don't hit the gas pedal at all

 

lol alright, this is kinda halarious ... so i finally got their phone number, I talked to the guy on his cell phone and t old him to try to crank it so that i could hear the sound of it, didn't really sound flodded to me i think it might of just been the weather, so i told him to hold the choke about 3/4 of the way out, and then just stomp on the gas pedal, she fires up right away, he was like, how did you know how to do it ... i was like me and the car we're one soul, its a mazda thing lol. Its from a miata commercial.

 

I'd be afraid to even let them touch it....

well the only driving they have to do is from from the place to a truck .. from the truck into the train ... off the train into another truck ... and then off to my house ... its 0$ decutible insurance on there ... these guys are prob laughing at me for transporting an rx-7 ... they mostly do exotic cars from what i hear.
