Not necessarily. Don't all car seats have to pass DOT or NHTSA checks before being sold?

I do like those seats, don't get me wrong. But for that price i'd rather get a nice leather reupholster kit for mine, or a nice set of name brand racing seats...Just too rich for my blood I guess... I'll be curious to see if anyone bids with a starting price that high.
