Ford has a better line-up overseas than they do here. It's pathetic.
Ford do have some nice cars available over here.

Like the XR6 Turbo ute. These things make over 400rwhp simply with an exhaust, injectors, fuel pump and piggyback ecu. The stock turbo is very nicely sized.

However the RX7 won all 5 of the 12 hour production races against all comers in the early to mid 90's. Particularly beating the Porsche factory effort in all 5 years, Vipers, Corvettes, Ferrari, Lotus and the Falcon and Commodores.

This was an awesome period for rotorheads.

The Group C RX7s driven by Allan Moffat were very fast but didn't dominate due to failures, they were PP 12a and had around 300hp in the early 80's. The 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen never competed in this level in Australia.

The rotor sounds quite nice as it rev's out... Looks a damn sight harder to drive from the cockpit compared to the big 8.
