The user on here is "Malambry", and he's a pretty cool guy. I PM'd him a while back and he sais the car is still running, and is getting a motor built by Ludwig.

I told him he should bring it out to the autocross!

Definitely an 82 GSL with a Half-Bridge 12A turbo, Light-weight low compression rotors, aluminium flywheel with a 6 puck unsprung clutch. Oh, yeah, and a Pearl-white paint job. Sick.

I find a Dream car is never a reality car. I've always got one more thing to do on mine to make it my dream car. But when I do that, I find another thing I want to do. Thus I will never have my dream car. But my reality car ain't to bad. hehe :)

blown7 05-27-07 01:04 PM

Our dream cars are pretty simple. One completely restored GSL-SE, stock for efficient daily driving. The other is a FB bodied drag car. We have our '85 GSL shell full of SE parts thats in my sig. To turn it into drag car wont take to much for me since i have alot of the parts that i want to install into it. As for building it into a 3/4 chassis car that will be fun. I have the MFR p-port housings already that i'm going to run N/A for now. I want a GT45R to bolt to the engine with S4 turbo rotors, RX8 stationary gears, custom intake manifold, fuel injection and throttle body, water to air intercooler. mmmm c16 boost levels. Out back a narrowed nine 4 linked into the chassis, enough that the slicks are tucked inside of the body. Some thing like my father inlaws 1st gen.

85 GSL-SE in show room condition, with all racing beat performance parts , turbo'd and bridge ported. with nice rims and tires, a sweet stereo system, and id be in heaven, and about 30 more rx7s to keep me busy for the rest of my life :)

sly-sa22c 05-27-07 08:39 PM

81 SA22c, aust delivered, S5 13BT with W57 (supra box), highflow, bridgey and doweling, Simmons Versas or OMs, custon IRS rear end with possibly skyline type diff setup, rack and pinion steering conversion, custom coilovers, 8" wide tyres F&R, full 6pt cage, Sparco Pro 2000 seats (carbon of course), 3" custom mandrel exhaust straight through with a Rotaflow at the back...

would be ana bsolute MONSTER at the track thanks the the gen 1's inherent weight balance.. not to mention the imporvements given by the IRS.. it'll happen eventually!! (when i run outta rego:p)

MikeFB 05-28-07 12:58 AM

My dream FB...the '83 I just bought, but with drag chassis, n/a 4 rotor, jerico 4 speed.

PercentSevenC 05-28-07 02:17 AM

Hmm, I'm having a hard time thinking of a "dream FB" because to me, my dream FB is whatever one I own, no matter what shape it's in, no matter how much horsepower it has. I love it for what it is.

I guess what I'm saying is that my dream FB is a faded stardust blue '81 S model with GSL rear end, shredded seats, leaky aftermarket sunroof and currently no engine.

That said, I wouldn't mind having a half-bridgeport 13B-REW to drop in it, and some nice wide wheels and coilovers. ;)

I'm doing my dream FB now. It's an 82 GSL I bought new, and am trying to get it looking "new" again. The interior almost perfect and I have it at the paint shop now getting a full meal deal.(about 5 grand). I have a new set of Konigs and tires I will put on when I get it back. I'll post some pictures then.

peejay 05-28-07 12:14 PM

My dream FB is not an FB, it's an SA. FBs are ugly.

1985 GS with GSL rear end, streetported S5 TII motor with S5 N/A rotors, custom side draft fuel injection manifld, S5 turbo running ~8PSi, 2.75-3" exhaust to FD RacingBeat muffler, front mount intercooler would be mounted out of site.

Car would be flat black and I can't decide if it would have a body kit or not. The wheels would be mesh, gloss black with polished lips, in 15x7.

Tinted windows, and my current audio set up with addition of one or two Elemental Designs EU-700s. MY current setup is CDT component speakers powered by an Alpine V12 amp through a Panasonic "GHOST FACE" unit.

My goal is a modest 250-280whp. Car would be a weekend car on the street and a usual at the autocrosses and track days.

Kim 05-28-07 12:50 PM

My dream fb:

12A Streetport
TII turbo
45mm OER Carb
DLIDFIS
FC Oilcooler
AN-6 fuelsystem
All moving suspension parts replaced with aftermarket ones
New bearings throughout
New brakes throughout
New steeringparts throughout
Shaved lock- and antennaholes
New garage paintjob
2-piece 7x15" meshwheels
Custom exhaustsystem (side by side rear mufflers)
FD seats
Refurbished original black interior
Carbon Fiber centre console and gearshift surround

Hey wait that's what i'm allmost done with.
I don't need a superclean car, just something reliable and well handling

Directfreak 05-28-07 04:51 PM

Two Dream FB's:

1) Bone Stock (looking) Tender Blue Metallic
GSL-SE with grey interior, Full TII S5 drivetrain and ECU - just like if it came that way from factory. Stock Turbo, and everything.

2) My Car, with a 3 Rotor, and the widebody kit finally installed and painted, with HRE 17's in the front, 18's in the rear, with a fat lip - completely filling the wheel wells. Minimum of 750 rwhp.

Well it would be a FB body vice the SA, with the FC front crossmember conversion, a 13bt with a decent turbo on it of course with the trans, etc. a wide body kit, prefer the JSS but would accept the Mariah, and a nice fat set of watanabes on it, in a nice deep green color. Oh and it needs one of them hot a$$ Latino, or Asian hotties in the passenger seat.

cheers

kenn

Oh wait whats that, it must be my dream car almost finished! :shocking:

Now wheres the Girl?????:wallbash:
