I'm assuming this is it. Yes, it's nice, but I intend on building a strip car anyway. Stock SA/FB's are slooooooowwwwww. If I wanted to go 16's I'd just go race with my '06 Focus (16.5xx@83.xx, with intake, ehxuast, and poly lower mount, no tach).

Biggest problem with the Focus is that I have no tach. I later found out I was severely short-shifting 3-4, and my 60' times were terrible... launching by ear at a drag strip against louder cars FTL. My old Focus (2001) ran a 15.9 with less mods, but I had the launch down pat (and a tach).
Well, actually, the biggest problem with drag racing the Focus is that it's a FWD econobox... but that's a whole other discussion.

I almost hate to bump an old thread like this... but this is the car now:
The car did end up needing a new (well, used) engine, and if the interior gets hot it still smells a little. Overall, the car is still really clean underneath despite that I daily drive it in the summer (even in rain!) and it has only spent 2 winters stored indoors (I don't have a garage).
So 9-1/2 years later, I'm still happy I went against the grain.
