I actually had a huge crack in the windshield after two winters ago, happened while turbo swapping the gray FB. I came out one morning and she was split in half horizontally from the driver's side halfway to the passenger side. You can see it in my YouTube video of 12a vs 13bt turbo swap, it's impossible to miss.

I called it into insurance since it was under comprehensive and they said they'd send someone out to do it when they could. The glass guy called me for an address and time that the car would be at my house. I had to work (of course) at the time and when I got home the guy did a PERFECT job. I couldn't believe it. I've read horror stories like this one before and I was extremely nervous about it. I wish I could find that old invoice with the guy's name on it and the company he was from, I need one installed on the current car now as well. Sometimes things like that really surprise you.
