Why French?

I was sitting in my car this morning waiting for AutoX to begin when I started to read my sun visor. While in my deep thought, I questioned "Why is the second language written in French?"

It seems like an odd choice for a Japanese car in the USA.

Could be your car was sold in Canada, there's a lot of French spoken up there.

Because they made the car for US and Canada.

Now the part I don't get, why do Scion TCs have their fuel gauges labeled in German?

So this Canuckistan I suppose is a kinda of Pakistan, or some former Soviet era predominantly Muslim republic? And that we should be viewed by Americans with suspicion? We even speak French, how damning is that?!

Toronto isn't part of Canuckistan, Jim... my 2045 map clearly shows it as part of Canaderica.

I say all the Blue states join us in the United States of Canada, and let the Red States be the Confederacy they still pine over.

I'm in Minne-snow-duh and most people from down South respond with, "Isn't that basically Canada?.." So we're used to it up here.

The only people I've met from Minnesota have sounded more like the "stereotypical Canadian accent" (think Bob & Doug MacKenzie) than any actual Canadians that I've known/met, which is a surprisingly not-small number. Or maybe they just talk funny in Ontario

Hell I remember when the Interstate road signs were dual-measurement, 55mph / 88 km/h.

(Colin Mochrie is Canadian, Ryan Stiles' parents were Canadian. Additionally, Drew Carey is from Cleveland. We know the Browns suck )

Is it bad that I had to look up who Bob and Doug MacKenzie were?.. I've seen Strange Brew at least once but couldn't remember their names off the top of my head.

WLIIA is an awesome show, I'm too young to have seen most of it in it's prime but I've always thought those guys were hilarious.

Fargo is by far the worst example of a Minnesotan accent we've ever had to publicly deal with in my opinion.

That's probably because Fargo is in North Dakota.

North Dakota and the border of MN is the location of Fargo, Moorhead is on the MN side with Fargo on the ND side - close enough though Isn't the story line with MN characters the whole time though? I haven't seen it in forever.

The wood chipper scene makes the whole movie
