This is something I've been debating. I have it mounted like stock but I hate the look. Even though it is non-law compliant, I've been thinking about pulling it off and setting in the car/on the dash. My dad said he drove his vehicles without front plates for years and nobody bothered him. I'm thinking I'd have it in the car and if I was asked about I'd say my car didn't have brackets for it.

I mean seriously, is there ANY good reason for a front plate on a car?

They don't care if it's in your car or on your front license plate, already had that happen twice. Depending on what car your Dad was driving might have made it less likely for a cop to care. My mom has been driving her Saturn Vue for 6 years no front license plate and never stopped for it once. But with RX-7's they are a lot more eye catching especially to the police so it's more likely they might stop you for it.

Huh. I took a trip to ATX a little while back and even got pulled over for a dead taillight and po-po never said anything.

Guess he was just lazy.

Thanks for keeping me honest though!

I'm in Missouri where front plates are required. I've even been pulled over for improper display of plates (in my windshield) just this year. I'm considering getting a magnet made, identical to my tags, & slapping it on the front (double sided tape where needed). Just hate the way a square tag looks on the front of my FC. Well see what happens.
