Wheel Adapter or Redrill

Okay, so I finally got my rx7 back from the shop. I don't know what rims are on her, none of the pictures in the "post a pic" thread have the same ones, but I still want to replace them. Like everyone else, that stinking 4x110 pattern. Before I head to some local stores, I wanted to get your guys' input first.
I'm thinking about a wheel adapter 4x110 to 4x100. But I've never used one and am a little apprehensive about what an adapter will do to the performance and how it will effect appearance. Would a redrill be a better option, and about how much should a redrill cost?

I want to get the Koing Feathers

Also, last Q. I have a Viper 791xv in the house that I want to put into the rx7.
This alarm system has a remote start feature and I was wondering if that will work with an '83 LE.

Thanks

the alarm will work start and everything just make sure to keep it out of gear but it wont pull your choke you'll have to do that yourself. the adapters some guys have used them with great success but it makes your wheels stick out a little

So the adapters won't affect the drive at all?
And about how far do they stick out?

Good news on the remote start.

I'm still interested in more information regarding a redrill. Do I order a blank wheel from the manufacturer? I'm sort of new to all this stuff so any information is appreciated.

Wheel adapters have been around longer than most of us on this forum. I went this route a long time ago. I am using 4x110 to 4x100 adapters on my 83 GSL. For the adapters I ordered, I told them what I was wanting to do, and they made them to run 4x100 with a +35 to +40 offset. Going with this offset and bolt pattern will let you find pretty mutch anything you want.

After a little more searching, I found these:

I really like the looks of these, and I'm going to order some silver ones from Team Dynamics Racing site.
Last question: What off-set should I get? I have stock brakes etc. I've seen people looking for around +23.

Thanks guys, the help is great

I bet I can probably get ones for 4x114.3 because SE hubs are a pain to find. getting a few sets of Datsun ZX wheels I wanna try out.

hey guys, I'm going with similar fitments...Will a wheel adapter of 4 X 110 to 4 X 114.3 work fine. My rims 4 X 114.3 sooo I believe they should work fine... I'm just trying to get a second opinion other than my own

SE hubs are a pain to find you say?

I just did the TII brake/hub conversion. If anyone wants my GSL-SE hubs, brake rotors, calipers, and pads throw me an offer!

That was easy to find.

Oh, and I have plenty of wheels (some new) to go with them.
