What type of port?

Hello to all other rx7 owners! As of the holiday season I was able to go out and get myself a amazing 82 GSL only thing its that its compression is a bit low=( for the last month hunted and finally found a new 12a for my rex, but something finally hit me. I know I Wanna put a RB header and a Holly or Weber on it, but not what kinda port

I heard of doing a small street port, but what if its not enough? :-/ I head of bridgeporting, but iv heard it just kills the engine and your gas tank is gone on the way home from the pump. These might not be true, there just what iv heard.

Is there a port that can give great enjoyment and power but not kill the engine in2-3 years and get 10 to the gallon? I know I will have to sacrifice mpg for hp, but as long as I get 17 out better and a engine that wont need a rebuild after a year ill be happy as a clam

sounds like you want a street port. if you use really nice parts, IE good condition housings and new seals, you won't loose in the low end, and you gain a bunch up top.

the bridge takes a lot more experimentation to get right, although once it is, you only loose at part throttle and low rpm, it'll gain everywhere else.

I've got a streetport 13B and after 3000km I want more. Going to redo the exhaust since its currently a RB streetport dual, then if I'm still not happy with that I'll pull it apart and half bridge it. Make sure you invest in the exhaust to get the most out of it or you may end up disappointed. Also don't forget things like balancing and lightening the assembly and all the oil mods. Those are on my Shoulda But Didn't list.
