what fun....I have been really enjoying driving my RX-7

I have been driving my RX-7 to work everyday and have been really enjoying it. My Suburban that I usually drive is having transmission problems and won't be repaired until the 12th. So I have been driving the Mazda to work...

The weather is so nice right now in Texas http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/USTX0617.html (which is good, my car was ordered without AC)..... sunglasses on, listening to classic rock on the original radio, running to redline and catching nice 2nd gear scratches.... what fun!

I really now am in search of a good radar detector. I am sure gonna get busted because these cars are so easy to drive fast...

I am considering a Valentine Radar detector....anyone have any suggestions??

agreed-
have this rig too - paid $200 on ebay for it (used, of course). Valentines may be a good rig but Man, they are BUTT-ugly...

Cool man. I also get to race to work/race home. Sure would suck to own a track only car, and miss out on all that quality time together.

I am building my street RX-7 with similar upgrades my auto-x car has.... hopefully by making the "world" my autocross track, I can continue improving my driving skills....

One big difference is my auto-x car has a strong LSD..... my streeter is an open diff... the difference is auto-x car goes sideways if you get too crazy.... street car just spins the **** out of one tire...

I actually think I will keep the open diff in the street car....makes for a safer driving car in the rain..

Well I bought the newest generation Valentine 1 yesterday... I bought it from a guy on Craigslist.. I checked with Valentine with the serial number to check when it was purchased, if it needed any updates and if it was reported stolen.

They said it is the newest version, not stolen and was purchased Apr. of 2009..

Bought it for $200
