What to do with my + wheels?

I'm using my old set of + wheels as my race wheels, with 20x8 cantelliever slicks on them. My set of stock wheels is disgusting with tons of corrosion on them. I've made half-hearted attempts on getting it off but I wasn't sure what to use.

So what could I use to get the corrosion off? And beyond that, does anyone have suggestions on how I should finish them? I've thought about painting them a different colour but I'm not sure how good it would look. Pics of different setups would be great.

aircraft remover will strip the clear coat off of them. it will take a few coats. then you could sand the corrosion smooth and paint them, or polish them.

No other ideas? What is meant by 'aircraft remover'?

Any pics of painted stock wheels?

My wheels I took off and completely stripped them. I mean completely. I had aircraft stripper (found it at advance autoparts) and stripped everything off my wheels. Including taking off the black parts of the wheels. Very simple to do and looks good. Let me see if I can find a thread...

Heres my how to for stripping/restoring waffle wheels. With some paint
