bled the brakes again, added some oil, put my rear mudflaps on, tightened up the loose nuts coming from the header tubing to the presilencer that was causing a nasty exhaust leak, sounds perfect now. got a new gas cap and replaced the light bulb in the map light. just the little stuff makes it better

Finished polishing the lip on one of my wheels.
I'll hopefully post pics of the finished product on Friday once I get them back from powder coating.
I'm going with a nice silver metallic color.

yesterday I pulled the driveshaft out to get to the upper torque arm bolts out. I noticed that having a passenger caused my driveshaft loop to make contact with driveshaft. I flipped the bolts to their correct orientation (they were upside down) and fixed it. all in all it fixed 6 major issues I was having and now I can drive with a passenger.

In the turmoil of making some huge life decisions regarding where to live, work, go to school, all of that fun stuff. 7 has been contemplated for sale to ease some financial burdens but I don't think I could ever watch it go away knowing that it's not mine anymore.

Hopefully getting a RB exhaust here soon, want some 83 LE rims, and my parts list just keeps getting bigger and bigger though

DIAMOND RACING WHEELS

decided what i want for xmas XD

back wheel on the drivers side is ruined from the curb hop, the wheel may be cracked or distorted or something, because it clunks as if its moving around on the lug bolts. put the spare tire on, drove it extensively and the clunk went away... needless to say though, i don't want to drive on a broken wheel or a 30+yr old spare, so i'll be borrowing my grandfather's jeep until i can get the funds together for the wheels.

did you try tightening the lugs before trying the spare?

Maybe put a good wheel on that corner and check the runout with a dial guage. Could be a bent axle.

Last night I popped the right front ball link off the arm with a hydraulic press. Then attached the new joint to the arm, properly torqued it down and put in the cotter key. The ball joint boot was split out. I decided to just replace the whole joint even though it was still pretty good rather than replace the boot. I might as well since it was already apart. I will now replace the boot and the control arm bushings with polyurethane and put it on the shelf for when the next one goes out.

Thumbs up on that....

The best way to unplug them is with STRING TRIMMER LINE for a Weed Wacker - .065

7.00 in Home Depot

I usually cut one length of line about 3+ feet and snake all of the holes with it and a garden hose. Cleans them right out - FAST TOO!!

And tonight I started putting the 85 SE back together. Hung the strut from the tower. Reattached the lower control arm. Reconnected the tie rod end. Tomorrow I will reconnect the stabilizer bar and the lower control link. I still need to pull the inner bearing and inspect it. I don't expect a problem but if you have it apart it doesn't cost too much to inspect and repack. Just a little time and a new grease seal.

Its 50 out today so I went home over lunch and drove the 85 EV back to work. The battery was cold soaked from sitting out last night but it still keeps up with traffic. Working the numbers indicates when the battery is in the teens I only see about 80 HP. Once I get the other pack in this will go up to around 110 when its cold and about 150 when at room temp or higher. One of the plans is to install a heating pad under the batteries so this doesn't happen. Ill probably get to that sometime this summer when I am wishing I had worked on the AC instead.
