Went to visit dj55b yesterday in London Ontario

I have been stuck in Sarnia Canada all week on business. Yesterday I had some free time so I went to visit Sam (dj55b) in London.

Really had a good time visiting with him. He has a first gen with street port and mega squirt fuel injection. His car is really neat and we had a blast cruising all over London!! Thanks Sam!

Anyhow wow I am impressed with how smooth and responsive the engine is with the megasquirt FI. That car really hauls *** when you want it to and has incredible street manners when you need it to!

I was impressed how he can drive 25 mph...yes 25 mph in 5th gear and the engine does not sputter, buck back or anything.. It seems perfectly happy to run smoothly this slow!

He has the full RE speed suspension package on his car. It handles very nicely! He was even gracious enough to let me drive his car!! Very nice!

Anyhow... stuck in Sarnia for a while...

Sam's an awesome guy. What's funny is that I've "met" his car more times than I've met him in person. it was over at RPM Motorsports a few times when I was there and I got to see it but not him!

If you want to see a really awesome build, search up his threads. Everything from when he got the shell to building his own muffler is in there somewhere and it's all interesting to read.

His car spent a couple of days in my driveway when he came over for a race. Very nice. I think he raised the property value just by parking it there.

Sounds like you guys had fun, I'm jealous! lol

I wanted to come visit you Kentetsu... I think you are about 3 hours from Sarnia.. Just afraid I am running out of time. I will be back up here from time to time. They are a big customer of mine.

Next time you'll have to do that, especially if it's a race weekend (you can race my car)

There is a good race this Saturday, but since my car is still in pieces from that damned drunk, it's not the best of times. Fortunately, forum member Jeffy is letting me drive his fb for this race...

London is ~2 hours east from where I'm at outside Ann Arbor, and GR is ~2 hours west of me. You *may* be able to cut .5 hours from your drive by going across the northern bridge (not @ Windsor), but you'll loose that much (or more) in the crossing.

Besides that, Sam is an awesome guy, and his FB is absolute sex. Good to hear that you guys got to hang out.

Yes! Can't wait to meet you. We will let you race no matter when you get there, or what you are driving. We're not very picky on who we let in (just ask the Canadians)

Went to Muskegon today to race with Kentetsu and Jeff... What a BLAST!!!

I really enjoyed visiting with the Michigan autocross crowd and really enjoyed the event!

I raced my Nissan Versa rent car in H-stock and ended up in 5th place out of 8 cars!

Cant wait to come race with these guys again!

Again...thanks to all!!

Lol didn't realize you made a thread about this ... Glad you had fun here! ... Sorry it didn't have full power at the time since I had just changed the fuel pressure regulator and didn't fully tune things properly, but oh well it was still a blast. You're welcome to stop by anytime you'd like! That goes to anyone really ... well except for Wacky :P
