Tokyo Trip

I am going to Tokyo next week on holiday. I've been looking for Mazda attractions but not had much luck. Any ideas?

FYI the Mazda Museum is in Hiroshima, on the other side of the island, a LONG train ride away.

There's plenty of stuff to see just in Tokyo.

In Odaiba there's Toyota History Garage (little museum in a mall), they've got a variety of cars, like this Cosmo 110S (and GT-R and Carol):

Thanks for the useful ideas. As for the sarcastic ones, I will excuse you for being either drunk or stupid or both.

I've got plenty of time, so will try to hit the Mazda factory. Odiaba is on my list too, so will try to check that out as well.

The only real big auto venue in Tokyo seems to be the Toyota Amlux center. Also Bike Town in Ueno is supposed to be cool.

The junkyards in California are full of SA and FB parts. Remind me in November/December and I will see what I can do.

I don't think that they have junkyards in Japan. They either melt down or ship out the stuff they don't need. A shame, I know!

No no, I mean REAL SA mirrors- the fender-mount babies. Those never made it to the US. I can never find them on eBay either, even though they are rumored to be there at times.

I'm not gonna bug you about it, if you want to do it, I'd definately appreciate it, but I'm not gonna plead with you- it's your trip- HAVE FUN!

One thing you can do though is find that parking structure where they formed Tokyo Drift and let me know where it is. I want to go to a party like THAT.

EDIT: I was just on eBay, and there are some pairs available. Do a search for "Fender Mirror" in Car & Truck Parts and Accessories. They're minly listed for Datsuns, but they look EXACTLY the same.

Gotcha. Yea, I like those too. Always dreamed of snagging a pair for my old 280ZX. I also wanted to get a JDM spec voicebox, so the car could say "left door is open" in Japanese.
Anyhow, I always keeps my eyes peeled for unique stuff. I want to find some wheels. Will see what I can do for you. At the very least will come back with lotsa photos.

the tuner shops I was able to look up in RX-7 Magazine were all just outside Tokyo, where all the English signs disappear (I can't do kanji). RE-Amemiya is in Chiba, I believe, very close, a couple of bus rides outside.

I've heard Japanese Yahoo! Auctions are great for parts.

I just checked out RE Amemiya, the map is all in kanji too. Might give that one a pass. A whole day out to Chiba might not be worth the effort. Thanks though for the ideas j tso.
