so today i woke up nice and early to work on the new 7... fixed everything that i wanted to fix which you have no idea how happy that makes me.. (this is the first fb that i have owned out of the three that.. A. all interior lights work, all the speakers work, and has a cd player! haha its the little things!!!!!) well anyway i took the targa band off... and began to take the wrap around wing off... as well as the side skirts... well both are proving to be much more of a task then expected.. the side skirt is on with what seems to be somekind of rivets.... and i have no idea what is holding the wing on.. besides the 2 screws i had taken out near the ends of it...its a three peice so i figure some thing is conecting them but i have no idea how to get to that something...... err. now im at work... bored. ps all will be for sale if you want to make offers. if i can get th ef'n things off!

 

Should be held on by screws under the wing. Check near the lights, and look up.

 

yea i did... nothing... i can pull the wing up alittle bit near the hatch an look inside too.. but i cant see anything.. but it started raining so i went inside..

 

It's raining? It is dry as a bone over here. Just a little cloudy.

This might work. Get a powerful magnet and run it across the top of the wing. That should show if there is any screws/rivets used. It could be molded on?

 

well sir... it was raining this morning when i was working on her... haha then i went to work, it kinda drizzling here... where are you? im downtown..well actually in noda.

 

Rear part of the wing has studs pointing down. If you look inside the hatch, above the tail lights, you will find 3 nuts. Remove these and the rear piece should come off. Once the rear is removed you'll see the 2 screws holding the back of each of the side pieces down.

Yep, just flip up the carpet covering by the hatch latch. Look inside there and you should see the studs and bolts. Pretty easy...

ok ash.. ha .. i want to perserve it incase anyone wants to buy it! otherwise i would just rip the damn thing off...... ok so now onto the side skirts...rivets?

 

well charlotte is nice and sunny today so i got there, and got the wing off no prob! but no i have to deal with some body issues... the guy that insaled the wing put a big hole where the antena came through... then "tried" to bondo it.... awful! it looked like a big pink glob around a terribly cut hole.. so i sanded it down to look somewhat decent.. then the screws going into the rear fender area olding the "tips" of the wing to the baod, pulled the out from inside... so i have these reversed dimple like hole to work on... other than that the wing is off!!! its a three piece like i said, its black there is a couple of litte chips where there diddle piece meets the two side pieces... $50!... targa is off too $50 for it as well..
