The po of my 82 cut holes in the bin lids and inserted some 10's...can't figure out where the amps plug in to see if they work. LOL

i would assume that he used an aftermarket amp, as the factory amp probably wouldnt power the subs at all.

In the 82 he had the speakers wired directly to the factory Clarion. I put that radio, as well as the bins, into my 83 which still has the factory amps...I can't for the life of me find where the factory amps plug into in the dash! I just want a little music right now...But you are right, 123.afro...there is tons of room there. Don't know about the stability issue...

That's good to know...I had speakers in the proper places and they dryrotted while the car was sitting up...they were less than 6 months old when I parked the car, too! I'll just have to hunt down some more...

That's where my cables are...when I traced them down they came from the amps...just can't find where they plug into the deck. Checked the FSM and they appeared to plug into something else under there...just can't find it. And to think, I thought it would be easier to put in the original deck rather than an aftermarket one...there I go thinking again!
