The insides of my side marker lights are dry rot and i cant find new or used. Does anyone know if the side marker guts are similar enough on another car that I can make new used ones to fit? On some, there isn't enough to silicone or epoxy mine back together.

These are the Mazda part numbers:

FA01-89-678 Side Marker Lamp Assembly: Left Rear, Amber
FA01-89-673 Side Marker Lamp Assembly: Right Rear, Red
FA01-89-668 Side Marker Lamp Assembly: Left Front, Amber
FA01-89-663 Side Marker Lamp Assembly: Right Front, Red

Have u tried eBay yet? Be careful tho-I went looking for a sticker and ended up buying $400 worth of stuff for my gsl

 

I didn't see the ones for 1st gen. Unfortunately local pull a part doesn't have any RX-7s now.

 

Scratch that, found and bought 1. Just need 2-3 more.

The side markers on the 86+ looks like the same size but it doesn't have the light socket built in. I am sure I could get a light socket and wire it up to my year. Does anyone know if the size is close enough to fit with minimal modification?

 

the FC uses the same bulb, so it should be really similar/close
