I'm looking for idea's Rattle can or showroom quality

 

Paying with ideas before I give it a real paint job

 

well, it's not a stock color, don't know if it counts lol. was resprayed green from the original white by previous owner in the early 90's

 

Will be interested in this thread, as I'm looking into investing in a spray gun set from JEGS to start playing with the painting idea.

 

This was 2 years after it got painted. Was pretty polished when it was first done. Some nice reflections...

 

I got GOLD... I wasn't fond of the gold paint when I got the car, but its grown on me.

Its the best paint job I've ever had. :'( Makes me soo happy to finally have something that people don't say "Is that spray paint?"

Now they just say "where is the engine?"

I had a Harley like that once - olive drab and orange - no one liked it but me

 

A friend of mine's car was kinda calico so he did this with rattle cans - in the driveway - between sprinkles - since this pic was taken - the stripes now come down to the bumper - killer job for rattle cans - good job Dave!!!

lindahlish - i got a small compressor and a heated shop - you lookin for a new look for next years calender?

 

BrGreenSA - I've always thought a green car with a yellow nose and single stripe up the middle looked good - but i own a British car too so there's no accounting for my taste

 

rotaryboy23 - you can't go wrong with red

 

Quidao - Now they just say "where is the engine?" - Ya or "How many pistons did you say it has?" - I like gold too - maybe black out the wheel spokes and add a stripe or two - would look cool with no sunroof - IMHO

 

My dad painted mine in 2000 Mercedes Light Silver. Looks like the Sun Beam silver that it orginally came with, nothing special.

 

Redliner223 - Every 7 is special - and silver is always cool

 

I usually point to the conner of my shop where the 13B lives or the coner with the 12A... "there is the engine" :P

Na, I can't paint. Its as good as it gets right now; till I have won the lottary and I can pay someone to paint it real good. When that day comes I'll get hold of another one and cut and weld a 100% rust free car.


EDIT: Oh and I LOVE POLISHED ALUMINUM!!!! those rims will keep the powder coat black and get POLISHED!!!

 

I am assuming you mean non stock paint scheme, not color, so here are a few pics I have saved over the years.

Here are some more solid colors. The last blue one is my old GSL that I tested the roller paint job on, something I wouldn't recommend unless you have a vast abundance of time vs $$ and you have no way to spray it yourself.
