Seat and steering wheel
Hello my name is Adrian, I am 19 and I bought a 1983 RX7 for my bday 6 months ago, I sat down for the first time and noticed my head hit the roof and the steering wheel was pressing against my thighs. I am 5’11 does anybody know what kind of seats would suit me for my height and what after market steering wheels I can switch out the stock one to have space for my legs.

Hi Adrian,
I had the same issue, especially when wearing an helmet.
I went with a Momo 1978 steering wheel with a 350mm diameter on an NRG removable hub, and for the seat, I purchased second hand Elise seats and made an adaptation bracket for the factory seat rails.
It is not bolt on but I am happy with the conversion, I gained about an inch in height.
Note that the smaller wheel makes turning while standing even more difficult (no assistance).

I have a Nardi 330mm wood wheel in my RX-7 that I really like. I bought it over twenty years ago when they were reasonably priced but now there pretty damn expensive. You can find some deals on used ones on eBay or you can find knock-offs like the link below on Amazon.com. Welcome to the forum!

I am an inch taller and have never had an issue. Tilt your seat back more and get used to the idea it's a small car?
Any seat you fit will actually sit higher than factory, unless you modify the floor to remove the raised seat mounts.

I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam- more leg than body for sure. I modified my seats to go back as far as possible. I kept the factory rails but moved the seat back on them by about an inch. The seat base now hits the body at the storage cubby.
When I enter the car (it's LHD), I place my right foot/leg on the right side of the steering wheel, slipping it under as I go. If I don't do that, it's bringing the right leg up and sideways once already seated and that is awkward. Headroom is there but not ample. As KYPREO says, reclining the seat is helpful. And FWIW I don't generally bash my head on the roof, but it's happened.
At 5'11" I am betting you have a bit more room back/front and don't need to modify the seat position that way.

I'm 6'3-6'5 with 35" inseam and fit with helmet no problem.
I did put an extended steering wheel in my Series 3 in order to get a little more room behind it for my knees to get up. The S3 dash is a lot bulkier, so I can't sit as forward as I can with the S1/S2 dash before there is too much leg/dash/wheel interference. I don't need the steering wheel extension in my S2, even though my S2 has S3 seats in it, which sit a lot higher. (Looking for a nice pair of BLACK S1/S2 seats)
Displays how far FORWARD that I like to have the seat. Headrest ends up about even with the door opening.
