Don't pick on me...that's what I need to hear...I'm still learning about alot of this. So is that why he only referenced one as a GSL? What would the other be called besides SA? And how can you (I) tell?

Nice find. We need bigger/better pics, though (of the car, I mean ). I knew you were a lady, but since it is almost all guys on here, people just assume you are a guy until the learn otherwise. Personally, I think it is nice to have some ladies on here that are into 7s. We have only had a handful of 1st gen ladies on here since I've been on here and most of them aren't around any more.
Just stay away from the lounge. The "leghumpers" will chase you off!
That tail piece on the '80 is pretty rare and probably worth some bucks if it is in good shape. Good luck. I hope you can get 'em going.

All '79 and '80 or SA rx7's were either S model or GS model, Plus the rare '80 LS model.

GS had a sunroof, S didn't. So you probably have the GS model.
Its awesome you noticed I only referenced the one, which I did on purpose, because in the previous post you only mentioned the '79 year and I didn't check the first post to find out what year the second car was.
Sorry I forgot my smiley face on my last post, sometimes I let out a bad post and I honestly didn't mean to pick on you.

You are forgiven...I feel better now. I'm gonna be in Detroit, MI in May and for a second there I thought I was gonna have to extend my trip and come find you to kick yer hiney. Respect your elders...I'm almost old enough to be your mother. LOL And thank you for the info on the trim levels. I've only owned FBs and to be honest...it gets confusing sometimes trying to distiguish which is which. As far as I can tell now...I have all GS models...79, 80, 82 (RIP), and 83. Someone really should fix up a spreadsheet which checks off the different things each model has...That would be really helpful. I'd do it, but obviously, I don't have all the information to add to it...LOL

....there's a car in that picture? Just kidding! I'm just wondering why most people don't look at the person's USERNAME. I mean, there were two clues. "Kymber" in the username and the fact that in your first post you mentioned your husband. Yes, I'm one of the few members who actually reads.
Nice finds, by the way, but yes, we need bigger pictures! Damn, wish I could get that lucky at an autograve yard. Are you going to part out both of them or make one of them a wicked ride? Maybe you did already answer that question and I don't read as much as I should.

How about 2 wicked rides?? They both have enough of them there that it's not unfeasible to think about restoring them both. (Not to mention the multitude of interchangeable parts from the 82 donor car) First things first...gotta see about motors...still can't unsieze the 79 and am thinking there may be bigger issues...on a good note...the motor i have in storage turns really easy, but I don't know what year it is. It wouldn't fit my friend's 85 and I know that it won't fit 82-84 because it won't fit my 83 and all those did. (it seems the manifold pattern was different or something). It seems to be set up for a beehive cooler so that knocks out anything before 83....How can I tell????

The red rear panel you have hasn't been made in nearly 10 years, but the few that I've seen have all held up well. It wasn't Mazdatrix or Racing Beat, but a similar company that made them back in the day.
What's the plan for the cars? You found two in a yard but left them there, only to bring home the GSL? You didn't bring home 3 cars, did you?
The spreadsheet's not a bad idea, actually, but I'm afraid to make one. People will chew your *** if you get one box wrong....
Good find.

I just may do that. It'll be nice to actually meet someone from the club. I'll probably be flying up but I can bring pictures of all the girls! Who knows...I may consider driving the 900 miles just to show off one of them!

LOL Yeah, the plans are 10, 8, and 6 year old boys at this time. I'm thinking that we could get them absolutely jam up so that thier first cars will be worth having. Of course, they are learning a thing or two along the way. I want them to appreciate them. My 6 year old has had his eye on my 83 since he could see. He calls it "our" car and yes, he has turned a few wrenches on her already! My 10 year old wants the 80 and my 8 year old nephew wants the 79. They have already agreed on who's is who's...it's funny.
