Cool glad you are enjoying the car. I agree that these little cars are a blast to drive.

Could you take a close up pic of the three vdo gauges please while running and warmed up? I'm looking at using those and would like to see where the needles are while sitting at idle. Thanks

Then again this car is far from stock!
Maybe your buddy wasn't going all out and didn' want to hurt your feelings? Just consider the horsepower and torque ratings, and the corner g ratings. Both cars are known to be a blast to drive. What would really be a blast to drive is an Formula 1.

Thanks! I've been trying to track down a 0-120 oil pressure gauge (mechanical or electric), looks like vdo only has 0-150. Do you ever see anything higher than 100? I'm running an fd oil pressure sender in my 12a so mine should be around 110psi peak.

I may end up just running a similar setup as yours. Only gauges I can find with 0-120 oil pressure with almost matching coolant and oil temps are autometer, but those are double the cost. They sure look nice though.

Nice car too! I'm using your pics from post 22 as inspiration. I have a xenon front air with an sa front end on my sunrise red (duplicolor cherry red) 84. Really digging the rb strut tower brace and side mirrors. Is that a NASCAR rear mirror?

an alabama policeman beeped me and gave me the thumbs up at my rx-7. when I lived in N J, cops use to pull me over because they never could believe that a car that old, and sporty was legal.
