SA paint color opinions please

I知 restoring a 79, original silver with black interior.
I may go back with silver, but if you were me, what color would you go with?
I知 probably going with an original color.
opinions?

Put another way: it's your car and if there is a color that will light you up every time you walk up to the car, THAT is prob the color you should go with...
but
If it involves a color change (ie not just a different shade of silver) - then do you bite the Big $ One and do the w-h-o-l-e car? Meaning door jambs, under the hood, etc. This can mean some pretty big coinage to do correctly. More than a nice outer respray. Anything less and you (and any one you show it to) will instantly know "oh, you repainted it a diff color". You will be reminded every time you open the door. Or the hood. You OK with that?
AND - it will "always be" a color-change car, which in most cases with something that may (one day! dammit!) become something of a Collectible, it will likely DE-value the car. ie you will prob be penalized for the change at re-sale time. Ironic considering the investment in the Paint Job to begin with.

Cheapest/best $ spent will almost alway be respray in the OE color. And it's pretty hard to go wrong with Silver on an RX7.

I got my S3 Rx7 also in silver. In the 90ties i painted the car inside and outside pearleffect yellow. In 2013 i changed the colour inside outside again, cause i am wanted gunmetal. In over 30 years every time i got a smile in my face when i have look at the car. I have done it for me not for value will rising up. I have learned everytime making a better job then before. So it's your turn, do it in the right quality.

1984 OEM 2 tone colour

1992 peareffect yellow and silver

2013 second restore and modding gunmetal

I would also stick with the original Sunbeam Silver Metallic. It's such a great color on our cars!
