SA+old school graveyard auction - sad!!

Too many SAs to count! Limited! LS! Anniversary! oh the Humanity.... (to quote the Hindenburg disaster).
Someone fetishes collecting way too many rotary toys, with no ability to protect or at least remove valuable parts. Hoarding at its worst.
So nature takes its course and cool stuff cooks away in the sun. oy! the waste....

Stu, looks like Holocaust victim's from a concentration camp. Sad indeed, there are many parts there that members here lust after. Exciting stuff in a depressing kind of way.

Funny thing Stu, the guy who is responsible for this auction (the owner of all that rotary stuff) showed up at our OGTA meeting this Tuesday, real nice guy, name's Dave, he happened to be in Atlanta for the week.

I won't go into it here, but there is actually a very reasonable explanation for why all this stuff is suddenly coming out of the closet, so to speak.

He's sitting at the table, can you guess which one?

Someone from the meeting was supposed to send me the link to the auction so that I could take a look, but you beat him to it.

So thanks for the link!

I was going to guess that it was out of Daves collection. Whats the story? Is he unloading just
the rotten stuff and keeping the best stored indoors? I hope its not a firesale for some reason.

It's a firesale.

Dave has had a change in career plans that mean he isn't going into the rotary restoration business when he retires from the military soon, as he had originally planned.

The stuff is in storage at considerable expense, so he's decided to liquidate.
