I like to think my SA is worth around the $6000 mark (canadian dollars) but in reality due to the slight mods I did it probably is worth more like $4000 to an enthusiast. My mods were for reliability more than anything since I love to drive the car and have put an additional 7000km on it in only a year.

My car does have a few things going for it. Relatively low mileage compared to most other 7's in the area, mostly all parts have original aurora white paint in good shape, and virtually no rust. This is an impressive feat for a car originally from Ottawa and was even there when the big ice storm hit many years ago. The fact its an early production 79 just makes it better, at least for me.

mine is worth its cost of trelacement plus the added value of knowing how to fix everything on it because I've done so 3 or 4 times at least.

I just wanted to chime in here that the first one on the list that sold for $4500 was for sale on craigslist here locally in 2011 for $1800 (if I remember correctly), but was definitely under $2k. I called a few days after it was listed (as soon as I noticed it) and never got a call back. In the craigslist ad it said if it wasn't sold within that weekend it would be put in storage for the winter and sold in 2012. Damn, I wish I didn't miss out on that!! The first few pictures in the ebay listing are the SAME pictures that were in the craigslist ad...

$4-5k seems like a very nice price for an unmolested vintage 70s sports car. I think that's a tribute to how popular these cars were when they first arrived.

saw an ebay listing for a bronze with plaid seats around Chicago. Guy wanted 5500. He emailed me saying he had 3 offers of 4500 but nobody has come up with the money. It has 35Kmiles. Also has the swoopy rx7 decals along the sides down low. I would have grab it except for the decals. man plaid seats looked perfect like the rest of the car.

Guy in NH just sold a great looking gslse on craigslist. sold it for $4500. It was red with 79k miles. got there to late.
