exact same design as a magnaflow or borla. It's gonna sound just like the rest of them out there. They had them at 7stock and they looked pretty well built just like everything else RB sells. great quality! I didn't buy one because I'd be pissed after it gets all ugly and scrapped up after a week of driving the car...

I may go this route, I wish they would offer a dumpy style muffler option as well though. The only lobster tail setup I could find would have to come out of Aus, from Rotaflow and it was $$$.

Get a u-bend. Cut it at a steep angle. There's your dumpy.

Yea.. I was quoted $430.50 shipped for the Rotaflo RF250 + 3" stainless tip.. Feels like its worth it but still a bit pricey.

I think it would be badass if someone went all out and cut a hole between the tail lights where the license plate is on sa's and mounted one of these there. It would look really sweet, but would take some serious mods. A center mounted one will look sweet, but this thing sitting to the left under the bumper would be a little weird IMO. And i think it would be hard to tuck underneath the bumper for a clean look

The only thing worrying me about that kind of set up is that the interior would get super hot, since ther really is no way to block off the exhaust heat that is now in the interior. Then again, if you went through the hassle, you can make some heat shielding. It wouldn't work for us with spoilers that hang past the upper bodyline. I got the whaletail and it gets mega dirty from the rear bumper to just under the tail from the wind making the circular effect. I would be worried about burning a hole through the wing!

Sounds like a good idea though.

I have one on my 83

I just installed my whole exhaust last week. RB headers straight back to the rotor muffler 2.5in. It is very loud, but to be expected with no presilencer. I drove it for three hours on the highway after install and it is bearable for me. I think it looks great. When tucked underneath the rear it shows just enough that only rotorheads would notice. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will.

Nice Kerebus. That really makes people want to post on the site. I will snap a picture tomorrow once its light. It might take a day or two before I get it posted. I have never even put a picture on my computer so we'll see how it goes.

Depends on the person Wacky. I'm sure you've seen old 80's Impalas with 26 inch rims and jacked up ride height just to fit them. If you haven't just take trip to Mississippi or Western Tennessee. It all depends on the monkey that owns the car.

Function must define form... or else you're talking art, not engineering.

BIkes have been using triangular shaped mufflers for a while.

Nothing wrong with form as long as it doesn't interfere with function.

no need to go to MS or Western TN. I'm from the old hood in Los Angeles where we got them all including live car chases on TV for entertainment purposes.
