I get the OEM ones from Mazdatrix. Not cheaper. Much higher quality.

i always go to the dealer and get the window seals. as Ron explained, they are more expensive but they fit perfectly and they will last another 20 years. the black dragon seals don't fit perfectly and they have a tendancy to dry out much quicker.

Do it yourself - I did and there is no one LESS handy with a wrench. Presume we are referring to the window _CHANNEL_ seals? Old ones will just pull up and out with no drama (window wound down of course). Might be a bit dodgy forcing the new ones down the window tracks, tho some lube (even WD40) might make this a snap. Worse case you pull the door panels, peel back the clear plastic weather shield, and reach in and guide the seals down the channels. A pain but not rocket science.

FWIW you probably need the "Weatherstrip, Outer Joint" pn 8871-58-781 and "...Inner Joint"
pn 8871-58-791
These are the rubber strips that sit both sides of the window on the BOTTOM of the window frame (ie top of the actual door). These may be worn too. You can see the OUTER one so judge for yourself.

Get OEM parts.....they are the only ones that seem to fit. Cheapest place i could find for them is http://www.yourcarpart.com/ They have great pricing. Only problem is you have to have the part number to find anything.

(pn 8871-58-781 and pn 8871-58-791) Those are the part numbers for the inner and outer window seals that sit on top of the doorskin (bottom of window when closed)....if thats the parts you need, you are correct. The parts are genuine Mazda....your originals lasted 30 years...so they are golden....

Stu is right. Download the parts fische and you can identify all your parts. Generally, the oem seals, which are still available, are more expensive but the fit and quality are also better. New door seals make a lasting and positive impression cause you inneract with them every time you open or close your door.
