Hey guys, I got a 2nd hand set of rear springs with a bunch of other parts and I am hoping to identify. The springs were of a US car which appeared to have original ride height but when measured against a set of original springs they are about 25mm shorter and have a one less turn They are black with two green painted identifying marks on each spring. Any ideas what brand they may be and as I meentioned, they are shorter but the car they came off seemed to sit at normal height.
It's possible they're SE springs, which had slightly lower ride height (~1/2"), but generally the same dimensions. The SE in 84/85 also had stiffer springs to go along with the wider tires with lower profile on 14" wheels, which might explain the missing coil. I no longer have a set to compare against, but if they look OEM, that's my guess. Most aftermarket springs have been powder coated various colors for better corrosion resistance.
