Re-Speed, are you there?
Re-Speed, are you there?
Does anyone know if Re-Speed is usually difficult to get ahold of? I've put in several emails and phone calls and haven't heard anything back. I also can't remember which forum member it was since Billy sold the company to Canada.
Anyone know?

Sure seems to be active on facebook posting pics of welding projects. Seems too busy to answer calls or emails. I tried to contact him several times with question on their R&P system, and I was looking at picking up about 6-700 in parts. I spent my money elsewhere. Damn shame, I really like their front sway bar.
DJ55b (Sam) is the new owner of Re-speed, but as the thread above shows, it's unlikely he will reply to you. It is unfortunate since re-speed made a number of products that no other company does. Like Jhereg - I spend my money elsewhere

Yeah, it's a sadness - - the couple things I bought thru Sam were top-quality.
Some guys in the performance parts business seems to really get the "car" end, but the business end eludes them. Others are at the other end of the extreme. Finding one that does both really well is apparently a rarity.

Thanks for the info guys. I am definitely glad we needed some info from him and didn't just go ahead and order.
It is a shame indeed. We bought our rx7 race build knowing we could rely on re-speed for performance parts but instead we are just fabricating far more on our own.
As for messaging, some of the threads have said he is getting better but I haven't seen it. We've sent him 4 emails, 2 facebook messages and a number of calls. If a business owner can't return a phone call or email in a timely manner (a day - I get something like 100 emails a day at work and I manage to deal with them) then they have no right getting my money.
Silver lining is that we are now forced to piece together our own performance parts and fabricate alot of it ourselves which tends to be more rewarding (if more labor intensive).

I ordered the rack & pinion with crossmember upgrade back in February from him and paid in full for it. The rack came in March but no crossmember. After many (8) phone, email and text messages he texted that he was busy but would weld it and ship it. That was now 2 weeks ago. I am still hoping he comes through on his word as I can't find this crossmember anywhere else.

Really sucks I need the big brake conversion kit and will probably end up making my own now. I'll learn a lot, but the price would have been worth it to just buy
