Always enjoy your pics Ray. These in particular make me miss the Fall season. Yes, it's possible go get sick of Sunny Southern California's near perfect weather. A drive in the rain would be great. Another lover of white RX7s here as you know.

Great looking exhaust tips. And those leather seats... I want two for Xmas.

Huh, Wichita Mazda.

The cup holder is from Wal Mart, about $4.00 as I recall, one of my top ten upgrades (along with the full RB exhaust).

It has a plate that slips in between the passenger seat and center console to hold it in place. Here's a couple more photos I found.

Dave there's usually not too much trouble with leaving the sun roof up when it rains unless it is also really windy. At least this time it didn't get wet inside.

I like the white too, although before I got the White One I was partial to light beige (the Tan One) and brown (the Turd). And I have the Silver One waiting in reserve if the White One ever starts to age, which may never happen.

But this white car has been the best one yet. She looked so pretty sitting out there in the drive in the rain and leaves, I just had to give her a little appreciation and publicity.

The first gen RX-7 was the zenith of car design, in my completely unbiased opinion.

beautiful pictures again. i really do like the leaves around the car in the pics. after further inspection of the pics, it appears that you are not suffering clearcoat peel on your wheels. you are lucky my friend to live in a state where the salt doesnt eat your car's finish. thats a big killer for looks when the wheels are chewed up.

Dave said it well. Your + wheels look brand new.

Good wheel karma is a good thing.

Thanks Marek and others, there's nothing like a first gen to make you smile. Hint on keeping the X wheels looking good, find some reasonably good ones, clean them up, hit them with some fine steel wool and give them a spray with clear Krylon. That's why mine look pretty good.

Dave having lived in Massachusetts for many years and traveled the midwest a lot too, I know about salt. You should have seen the Peugeot wagon I had back in the 80's, sweetest running boinger I ever owned. But the floors were rotted out, especially on the passenger's side. One time I hit some road slush and my poor dog Melon, who was sleeping in the passenger seat, got covered with 2 inches of salted snow. You should have seen the look on her face.

Lesson of Story: Buy used cars from Georgia. No rust at all on any of my southern cars. Only the Turd, from Ohio, had the rust cancer.

Here's a couple of my favorite pics of the white one and a few of the others from the Ones that went before, since things are a little quiet on the forum right now:

The White One:

The Silver One:

The Tan One (now in RX-7 Heaven, but I'll be driving her parts for the next 20 years):

The Turd (also in RX-7 Heaven, her tranny lives on in the White One, Stu has her 12A):

The Green One:

And another Rainy Night In Georgia photo, about a year ago, when I still had all four out there filling up the driveway:

I used to like the light beige/brown leather best, when I had the Tan One. Then when I got the Turd the brown on brown started to grow on me.

Now that I'm driving the White One, I'm convinced the white with red leather is the ultimate statement for a 1st gen RX-7.

But I'm looking at the Silver One, with a nicely restored red leather interior it could become my favorite.

Favorite combinations: (All 84/85)

1) Tender Blue with Grey interior - FTW
2) Tornado Silver with Grey interior.
3) White with Brown Interior (rare)
4) Black with Grey Interior (Super Rare)
5) White with Burgandy interior

My favorite interior color of all is the LIGHT TAN interior
offered in some Rare 81-83 models... Very European..

That gray is everybody's favorite around here. Crit recently picked up a tornado gray SE with a red leather interior, but he wanted gray.

So he gives me his mint red leather driver's seat. This one:

I think he's crazy. But he likes his gray. He replaced everything in there. Now it looks like this:

It's the RX-7. Put's a smile on your face.

You know I'll bet a gray interior with red leather seats would look good. Anybody tried that?

I'll check with my wife on the beard. I haven't been shaving so it's probably still there.
