Post pics of your Mint Stock, or restored to original first gens.
I love this thread. Just bought an 84 SE myself. It's almost mint. Close enough anyway. Here's the only pic I have right now.
I fell in love with the colors. The brown interior is sweet.

Wow that's great. I'd be keeping on Gram's good side. But be advised, it may need some work. Mechanical things still deteriorate when not used. Seals and things need some exercising and lubrication every so often to prolong their life span. Other wise things dry up or get corroded and freeze up. The fuel system is another concern. Someone should be starting this every so often to keep it limbered up! You should volunteer you service and devotion.
Landon303- there is really no story behind it. from what i have heard my grandma used to own a mazda dealership and this was one of the cars she had. the last time she drove it (well before we just recently got it running) was when i was born and that was in 1987.
Banzai- lol My grandma loves me
. but we got the car running not to long ago. starts right up and we are about to take it on a 800mile trip to Atlanta and its going to stay at our new house.

Here are some shots of the '79 Limited with new stock E6 Beat Black paint . The body needed several welded sections to get rid of rust and previous owner put a cheap gloss black paint job over the origonal E6 colour . This work was done in 2007.

Don't be surprised if it runs better after your trip. Might be a good time to add some seafoam to help clean it out. Ask grandma if she still has all the paperwork, the window sticker and all!

I still have the radio and the steering wheel. I just have this new Mountney GT wheels from the UK lying around. I do not like the spoiler though but that can easily be fixed. It is my daily driver and is a blast to drive.
