That's clean *** hell, I'am bought to buy another first gen from this little old lady, she's my grand mothers friend. The car belongs to her husband who pasted away almost 10 years ago. The car is white with black interior, original everything. The engine bay is so damn clean you could eat off of it. He was the first owner and the crazy thing is, is that he worked for mazda building the cars and the motors. The lady was telling me that he rebuilt a engine but never got the chance to. I saw that motor and that damn thing is brand new, with every single nut and bolt, water pump, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, I mean everything. Even has a new tranny straight for the factory. The guy has parts laying every where all brand new. Even **** I haven't seen before that were test parts for the mazda. The guy has blue prints for the rx2 to go turbo and the crazy thing was he has those parts there too. The car should belong in a museum, what should I do.

Drive the car. Enjoy the Car. BEcause i know that man would have done the same. As for the other parts...well it seems like you will have another project to tackle soon enough lol.

Yup. I posted it a couple times in the past year or two. You can read about it in the current issue of Mazdasport Magazine. Just last month, at the Portland Historic Races car club car corral, I won Best in Corral, beating out a RHD 20B JC Cosmo, a 20B-powered '88 Anniversary, a tricked out RX-8, a Mariah 1st gen, and several nice FDs. Suprised me as much as anyone. Guess the judges liked clean, stock cars!

Here's my 110 mile a day daily commute mobile, god I love this car. Cruises at 90 like a new car, reliable as an old hat and so much fun to drive I don't mind the commute. I bought it for $1,545 on ebay with 83,000 miles on it, did some repairs to the brakes, tie rod and exhaust, swapped in a better tranny and some leather seats I got on ebay. I've had it for a little less than a year and have 25,000 miles on it so far, the last 20,000 with nothing more than oil changes.

137,000, but those were mostly freeway miles and she was stored indoors for her whole life. The car is not flawless (lots of little rock chips and several door dings) but the paint is bright and the car drives like new.

I will be making some radical changes to the powertrain, but I intend to keep it a sleeper externally.
