please help this new fb owner :(

hello to all, and im sorry if this is in the wrong place.

my story in short: i am the new proud owner of a 1982 RX7 GSL!
my problem: my rex wont keep a charge on the battery after i turn off the car, and im hearing this knocking when the car is in idle. along with this the car seems to have a hard time starting

aside with some other small things the car seems to be in great shape with only 125k on it.
if anyone has had this problem and can help, or give a place in the Washington/Portland Oregon area that works on our cars, i would love the help.

please help me get my rex on the road :/

Need some more details. Is it like u turn the car off after jumping it and then go to restart it and no bat power? How old is the bat? Have u tested the alt to see if its working properly?? alot of things can contribute to a non charging battery

DarkDrakeX no i havnt checked the alt, going to this week, and yes to your question of if it was a new battery, fully charged. I can jump it, turn it off and just 30 min later it wont come back to life. Just found a record book on all that the owners had dont to this rx, and it stated that the front rotor was low on compression on all three sides -___- and now the radiator is leaking from the top cap area

here are some pics. its freaking cold for me so i didnt get anything good, but maybe they'll help

Sounds like the battery issue is the least of your worries. With that compression statement and
you hearing a knocking sound at idle and the poor start when cold with the coolant leaking I would
wager you need a rebuild.

low compression - hard to start
knocking sound - bad or spun bearing
coolant leak - combustion pressure in coolant system, leaking seals

Of all the things that may be wrong, the knocking sound is the most worrying. The others
may be able to be patched up or lived with for awhile.
