Pic request

Ok I am sure evrybody's beat down with all the tire and wheel fitment questions...
But what I want to see is a GSL-SE with some rims with deep lip and lowered. I have read all the threads that I can find on it, but only seen maybe to pics of a GSL-SE with a little lip.
I dont want this to turn into what offset this, what tire that. Please I have educated myself threw this site about offset and backspacing.I realize that The GSL-SE has a high offset, but we have got to be able to get some lip in there.
I am basically going for the low look with the tires just at the fender, and some lip.
I guess you can say a little like the drifters do.....
Hope to see them, also please include the brand of rim, tire size rim size and offset.
or even a rim, if they have it with a high offset but able to have lip.
Thanks ahead

The Rims...
Staggered 5 star wheelz (Front 6.5" MSW ; Rear 7" Enkei) Tire size is nice and thick in rear and not so thick in the front.

It's For Sale too.

^^ Looks Horribe !!. Looks like 10 Oprah Winfrey's are in the car.
I don't think it's a BMW either.

Our cars don't have independent suspension, so they are not going to
'tuck in' like alot of (really ugly) lowered cars.

You can definately use lowering springs, or Coil-Overs to get the best
stance you want. But please don't make it look like it has a faulty suspension.

I am sorry YOU feel it's ugly, but I like it and its MY car so........ thats that
I did not take in to concederation independent rear end..
But again I know how to bring my car to the ground
What I am trying to do is get rims with some lip on them without getting fender flares..
I have been asking this question a few times and yet to get an answer, and I have yet to see a gsl-se with a low offset with out the fender flares. So i quess this is not possible without major alterations...
Just out of curiosity what exactly makes it possible for the gsl to go lower offset.
I understand the gsl and the gsl-se have diffrent suspensions, but what exactly is it that diffrent
Directfreak, so you really think this looks ugly?
what about this one

Definitely not a BMW. Looks like a Chaser to me. Like DirectFreak said, you can't slam it to the ground with the solid rear end and drive it like that. The SE has a higher offset because the rear axles are longer and the hubs sit out a little further than the 12A cars. You can tuck the car down to an extent but you probably wont get the tires under than fenders. Especially not with low offset/big lip wheels, they would just stick out too far for the fenders. And yeah the FC is kinda ugly although it is clean

What ^^ he said ^^.

That FC looks clean. I like the dropped look, I just hate it when it makes the wheels turn in a way that it looks like the suspension bottomed out. The Camber needs to be Zero for it to look right. Any negative camber that makes the the tires wear out unevenly in 20 miles - looks amateurish to me.

No no absolutely, I am asking for help, in getting my rx7 to look the way I like it to look, I read my first post and nowhere did I remember asking "do you like this look" I was asking about how to go about getting the look......
But I really do not want to get into a bitch session.......
I just need technicall data please.....

with that said that sucks,,,,, I really did like the look, but I dont want my car to have the tires sticking out.....
ok another question do you guys no of a rim that has a high offset with atleast a 2.5 to 3 " lip.
I am thinking the rim would need to come out in the middle but curve back towards the lip to give it that deep lip look....
again thanks for the advice, I don't mean to be rude, I just want facts, we can discuss what we all like and dislike allday till sunday.....
I love this site and have gotten all my repair advice hear,,,,,
Peace
Cruz

This car belongs to Robert, owner and mechanic at the Rotary Shack. His user id is 680RWHP12A here on the forum.

I don't know the specs, but it sounded like what your looking for. I know he had them imported and custom made. Wanna say like 2 g's and waited several months for wheels to clear customs.

Not a GSL-SE. Maybe Robert will chime in, or shoot him an email.

Have a look at RS Watanabe's. Similar to Panasports but built with 0 or negative offest to get alot of lip. Most wheels will have to be custom made so they will cost you, but it's really just a question of how much you love your car. You could also have your fenders rolled out so that you keep the stock width but gain clearance.

i blew the motor on the blue one, and when i was pulling it, i found some BAD rust in the rear-end connecting links wher they connect to the body

so pi cicked up a shell, and tranfered everything i could onto it. it is now dark grey, and not ructy.

the full story in photos in mixed between

it was like that on both sides, and there was some rust-through on the frame (it was an alaska car). so i stripped it down to the shell and glass, and scrapped it. everything from that car went into the other shell, including the rear end, interior, suspention, and so on. its full of parts from other cars/projects that were beyond repair. nothing salvageable, so don't feel bad! lol
