Parts You Wish You Could Have Back...

Anyone else that they had some old parts back that they either sold off, lost, used, broke, or otherwise don't have anymore?

I ask, because I'm selling off a bunch of parts from an 82 GS and there are some parts I want to keep and don't want to lose but need to sell.

Like:
Old stock FB rims. Would've liked to redo them and resell them instead of scrapping them.
Extra heater and stereo surround in case mine ever cracks.

Just curious if anyone else has the same feelings.

I miss my 48ida set-up and my old Enkei 92's. I didn't want to sell but I was unemployed and rent was due

even though I'm 5 lug now I sold a perfect set of 1983 limited edition wheels with hand polished lips for $325, they looked amazing on FBs and probably worth more like $500

My original nikki carb and intake.

The original electric antenna I replaced back in the day when it broke. I'm sure now I could have fixed it given time.

A set of Work Ewing wheels I could find anyone to redrill from 5x112 to 5x114.3. Luckily, I made a good profit on them and replaced them with a set of Work Equips.

Oh yeah, a Rotary Engineering 48 IDF 12a setup. I kick myself all the time for it, but it lead to making a great friendship, so it was worth it.

I pretty much hoard the rest. If I own something and I know it's NLA, then I am probably not going to get rid of it. Now, when it comes time for the Air Force to move me, they probably aren't going to like how much I have to move, but I will cross that bridge when the time comes.

I sold a Dellorto 48 dhla set up a few years ago to fund the completion of a project. At the time it was worth it, but I KNOW how awesome those set-ups can be...I ended up with a Rotary Engineering Weber IDF that I haven't tried out yet, but still might try to get another Dell if it comes up for sale

My original high-back SA seat frames are the only could-have-been-salvaged parts I can think of that I got rid of. I have others now, but in hindsight I should have kept the old ones instead.

Haha I meant another one for the S3 84 - not the 82! I wasn't ever going to use that one

I've got a carb and intake sitting on the floor in the garage I took out of the car when I converted the car to electric. I was thinking of putting it on EBay and hoping it would find a home. It was rebuilt about 7 years ago but has been sitting for 6 years so probably would need some attention.

I repaired two broken antennas over the years. It was a pain getting it out and back in the car but the repair was not that difficult. It was just replacing the rod with the OEM part.

My 15x10 and 15x8 FR Simmons wheels in perfect condition off my S2 RX3 that i sold so i could move
to Australia (im from New Zealand).
Didn't seem like a biggie at the time but now i cant find any and they only
make 17 inch upwards (YUK).
I kick myself consantly now for letting them go because they looked so freakin sweet on the low RX3 with the huge dish on them.
If you know of any for sale give me a PM.
